Who we are
My name is Pierpaolo and I have dedicated the past twenty years to welcoming tourists to my beautiful Florence. I have always believed that travelling and discovering new places is the very best investment. It is difficult to describe the overwhelming sensations of getting to know a new place and even if we are only temporary spectators during the journey, the memories, colors and scents will always remain clearly etched in our minds. Although we now live in a "global world" I still think that the human connection is essential and making my guests feel at home is my mission. This is why I decided to create this delightful apartment with the goal of making you feel that you are not just guests, but real "citizens of Florence".
Although the apartment does not have an actual concierge service, it will always be my pleasure to take care of you and help plan your stay by booking individual or guided visits to museums, recommending typical restaurants where you can taste our traditional cuisine and maybe organizing day trips to neighboring cities and localities (Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Cinque Terre and many others) as well as around the beautiful Chianti hills with their world famous wines. How to reach us
By train: arriving at the Santa Maria Novella station, you can reach us in two ways: - By car: As soon as you exit the station there is a line of cabs. The approximate fare is about 8.00 euros. - On foot: (5 minutes) Leave the station by taking the exit near platform 6. Go down the stairs, cross the tramway track and walk along Via Santa Caterina da Siena. After about 100 meters, at the intersection with Via della Scala, continue straight on Via Dell'Albero until you reach Via Maso Finiguerra. Follow it for another 100 meters until you reach the intersection with Borgo Ognissanti. Turn left, La Dépendance Machiavelli is located at number 68.
By plane: the Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport is about 5 km from La Dépendance Machiavelli, easily reached by
- cab at the exit of the airport (indicative fare about 35 euros)
- private transfer service (fare 30,00 Euro)
- T2 line of the tramway that connects the airport with the central station of Santa Maria Novella, and then continue on foot following the directions described above.
By car: Located in the city center, the Dépendance Machiavelli is easily accessible by car. For those who wish to park, we have negotiated a daily rate of 24.00 Euro/day with a garage open every day from 06.00 am to 2.00 am located in Borgo Ognissanti just two minutes walk from the apartment.
